Do I have to read MEEB line by line or from cover to cover?

From the Author of "Building Systems (BS) ARE Mock Exam (Architect Registration Exam)"
Do I have to read MEEB line by line or from cover to cover?
Response: No, you don't have to.

MEEB is a double-edge sword:

MEEB has about 1,800 pages.  It can be veryhelpful, and it can be the most dangerous study materials for you.

The easiest way to fail this exam is to get stuck with MEEB and get lost there.

Do NOT even think about reading MEEB line by line or from cover to cover. That will consume too much of your time, and you may NOT gain anything. Skim through it a few times, jump back and forth if you need to, and focus on the portionsthat you do not know or are not familiar with. Try to take as much criticalinformation as possible from the book WITHOUT reading it line by line or fromcover to cover. Focus on the images, diagrams and charts.

You goal is NOT to read MEEB line by line or from cover to cover, you goal isto prepare and pass the BS division with your LIMITED time and effort.

The following is a feedback on our suggestions from one of the ARE candidates who took the BS exam:

"I concur, this was the only exam I failed .... I read MEEB, I got sucked in, I read line for line every chapter noted on that forum chart floating around. I lost a complete summer (took very long time to read MEEB, + everything else posted on FTP + Kaplan, etc.). I was beyond devastated and did not recover for about 6 months until I could psychologically take the next ARE exam (and I didnot take that one!) Well, here I am on the precipice .... and only thing between me + my stamp is BS (I love the irony of its abbreviation). 'Round 2' has officially started - this weekend! I am scared + unsure on how to proceedbut this time I plan on keeping MEEB at bay - restricting it to only illustrations, charts, diagrams ..."

The following is a feedback from one of our readers who just passed the BS exam:
"Well, Gang, I don't know how,but you were RIGHT. It's a PASS!!!!!!!"
Our response: Congratulations! You should be proud of yourself. BS is the hardest exam for many.

You are not the only one, many of our readers pass two ofthe most difficult exams (BS in ARE and LEED AP BD+C) and have no clues why they pass, but we know why.

If you read our book, you should be able to master the fundamentals, have a solid foundation, learn the techniques to be a goodexam-taker, and you'll be fine. We make sure you are covered.

It is better to pass without a clue than to think you knoweverything and fail, right?

ARE Mock Exam series by ArchiteG, Inc.

Time and effort is the most valuable asset of a candidate. How to cherish and effectively use your limited time and effort is the key of passing any exam. That is why we publish the ARE Mock Exam series to help you to study and pass the ARE exams in the shortest time possible. We have done the hard work so that you can save time and money. We do not want to make you work harder than you have to.

Do not force yourself to memorize many numbers. Read through the numbers a few times, and you should have a very good impression of them.

You need to make the judgment call: If you miss a few numbers, you can still pass the exam, but if you spend too much time drilling these numbers, you may miss the big pictures and fail the exam.

The official NCARB sample MC questions have no explanations, and the official NCARB sample vignettes have no step-by-step solutions. The existing ARE practice questions or exams by others are either way too easy or way over-killed. They do NOT match the real ARE exams at all.

We have done very comprehensive research on the official NCARB guides, many related websites, reference materials, and other available ARE exam prep materials. We match our mock exams vignettesquestions as close as possible to the NCARB samples and the real ARE exams instead. Some readers had failed an ARE exam two or three times before, and they eventually passed the exam with our help.

All our books include a step-by-step solution to each of the NCARB sample vignette with screenshots and related NCARB software commands, a complete set of MC questions (except for the SD AREmock exam) and vignettes matching the real ARE exams, including number of questions, format, type of questions, etc. We also include detailed answers and explanations to our MC questions, and a step-by-step solution to each of the mock vignettes with screenshots and related NCARB software commands. Our DWG files for our mock exam vignettes can also be installed and used with the NCARB software.

There is some extra information on ARE overviews and exam-taking tips in Chapter One. This is based on NCARB AND other valuable sources. This is a bonus feature we included in each book because we want our readers to be able to buy our ARE mock exam books together or individually. We want you to find all necessary ARE exam information and resources at one place and through our books.
