NCARB made an error on the second electrical formula on the reference sheet for BS ARE exam

“FYI: NCARB made an error on the second electrical formula on the reference sheet forBS ARE exam.

The bottom formula on thereference sheet will make sense if the (lumens) is changed to (lumens per fixture), which = (lumens per lamp) x (number of lamps per fixture).

You need to know that luminaires means fixtures.

So the second electricalformula on the reference sheet should correctly read:

Number of luminaires = (footcandles) x (floor area) /(lumens per fixture) x (CU) x (LLF), where CU = coefficient of utilization and LLF = Light Lost Factor”
